Anyone fly the Basler Conversion DC-3 (or BT-67)? Any info, positive of negative would be apreciated.

Bt-67

Great airplane, perfect for what we use it for. We haul fire crews and use it for smokejumpers. It's true airspeed is 190 kts at 10K. I have almost 2000 hours in it.

It is a simple airplane which makes it unbelievably reliable. Goes from 150 phase to the next with little MX.

I helped do some of the conversion work on the BT-67, and build the tank system.

The Basler products are pretty darn nice aircraft...nicer than anything from Douglas the first time around. Beautiful work, quiet, great avionics, nice airplanes.

Don't sound quite right for a Doug, though.

Never flown one but seen a bunch of them...Avbug...what's up with the square nacelles? Round ones look prettier!

It's just not natural, nor is watching a doug fly over and then hearing it after it's gone.

If cleanliness is next to Godliness, then what Basler does with the DC-3 puts the company well within local calling distance, if not near enough for a shout.

They really make a nice product.
