B-737 Type rating

Hey Guys,

I need some help clarifying something. It was my understanding that when you get typed in the B-737 there is only one entry on your certificate, and that says B-737. There is no type rating for the 300, 700, 800, NG ect. Did I get this right or are there guys running around with B737NG type ratings written on thier certificates?

There is only one entry. B-737. It covers all of them just like the A320 rating. Its a common type rating.
