Are the 72's used on any regular routings for FedEx? Does anyone know which- or is there a FedEx flight schedule that might indicate this?

Thanks,

Bruce.

I know of one flight for the 727. It goes from Memphis to Casper, WY. At least it is a stop on the way. I see them on the ramp in DEN also.

The 727 is are workhorse for the smaller market cities. I won't begin to list our regular routes -- there are tons. Suffice it to say that cities like Boise and Laredo see FedEx 727s every night.

I see one every now and then at PDX; along with a Caravan that departs daily about 2145.

MSN, ATW, MKE, RST, DLH.

to name the few I know of.

FedEx 727 Routes

Here are some of the main 727 stations that see FedEx 727s nightly...

IAH, MIA, FLL, TLH, PWM, BTV, SAV, LBB, OKC, DAY, GFK, ATL, IND, MDT, DTW, IAD, EWR, BOS, CID, ORD, GEG, GTF, JAX, LAX, SAN, AFW, ABQ, MSY, SAN, OAK, COS, PHX, ONT, SHV, SAT, RST, PIA, ABE, BWI, YMX, YYZ, GRR, ORF, BHM, RSW, TYS, GSP, CLT, GSO, LAS, OMA, TUS, PDX, SEA, TUL, YVR, CPR

Seems to me that I have heard that FedEx has 727 pilot domisciles in AFW, IND, MEM, but don't quote me on that one. For all I know, they may only have MEM as the only pilot base.

Hope this helps- FedEx is so cool!

Someday ALL planes will be FedEx.

I know you said not to quote you on this, but for the record, we have sort facilites in the places you mentioned, but the only pilot domicile in the 727 is MEM. Here is a breakdown of the pilot domiciles

MEM - B727, A300/310, DC-10, MD-11/10
ANC - MD-11/10
LAX - MD-11/10
SFS (Subic Bay) - Airbus

Interesting. Does the fact that all B72 pilots are domiciled in MEM mean that all the destinations quoted above are served out of MEM (ie. a/c depart and arrive MEM from all of these locations)?

Thanks,

Bruce.
