Was out bouncing with my grandson at TFF. Going back into the pattern at YIP, I get this message from tower, "You are number 2 on a right downwind for 23R, following a ME-109 on short final, keep it in tight, there is flight of 3 Spitfires following him. Thunder over Michigan weekend at YIP.

It's always neat seeing unique planes landing and taking off, especially when you see them when flying.

Yep! dem Brits chased the Jerry right out of the sky. He taxiied fast and beat to the ramp.

But if he was the first one to the bar, he undoubtedly won the fight.

LOL!
That must be a cool experience ... in the pattern with warbirds.

Didn't you guys (USAJ) have a DC-3 that you flew to airshows at one time?

No USA Jet does not have a DC-3, but I fly work for USA Jet. and I fly for the Yankee Air Force. I take the C-47 to airshows. Almost made it to Oshkosh this year, but blew a jug over Lake Michigan.

That's a very cool feeling.

Last year, I was #2 behind a B-17, and a B-25 was #3 going into N-Las Vegas.

I sat for an hour or so afterwards....and had a sandwich, while watching them take passengers up for joy-rides.
