Lots of talk about this going around. Also I here the company has an address listed in the terminal. You can find it on a google search of Air wisconsin addresses... Any thoughts on this one???? Maybe AWAC can destroy the alter ego airline...........:smash:

Word is that we just secured a ground handling contract with Northwest. Perhaps we'll be doing the Northwest ground handling there and that is why there is an address in the terminal?

I know AWAC bid for SBN and FWA, but according to whats going around the red tails, Geoff wanted too much money to do it.

Maybe ground handling for US AIRWAYS Express, PSA ground is down sizing.

Well...Geoff steped down as CEO a couple of months ago. So you know what that means?

Not much.

Makes sense...IMO...the only thing lacking in Airway's route network is a hub smack dab in the center of the country to serve midwestern cities.

AMR has pretty much abandoned the place since TWA.

we all wish we had a midwest base.....but rumors are that the only thing we're going to be getting is ground handling

Geoff stepping down means Pats now in charge, which is how it should have always been.

HHMMMm I here Pat is very fond of STL.... And with the upcoming arbitration and contract talks..I smell Negotiations for a large midwest base. Just my 2 cents.

Hey maybe there will be some openings for some Trans States transplants.

Man i hope they dont try to break out arms in this arbitration. Holding all sorts of golden carrots infront of us, only to turn us into MESA

I give lots of kudas to Crowley for keeping us jobs(even though it sucks for the commuters). Pat on the other hand is good, but his best friend owns and runs a little airline out of STL whos name I can not say on this board without it being *********. So if they are alike at all in running airlines there may be a rough road ahead for us at air willy!

SHF I think very highly of the fact that Geoff had the balls to tell UAL where to stick it. My years at ZW were very happy ones, but I grew tired of being the read headed stepchild of UAL. Pat has always had a big hand in what happens at the company, he got into CJT because he'd been part of Air Willy before when Preston bought Ms. Valley Air. Pat was CEO of that company and has been around the business awhile. I had the pleasure of meeting him in MKE. He was very personable. I never met Geoff however.

Well, since AWAC pilots are never going to get the back-pay management owes them, why don't they join the ground handlers and form a union less corrupt than ALPA?

I dont know how long they will be friends when his scumbag pilots from Alter Ego cant get to and from work when AWAC is running the Show in STL. There will be a severe shortage of jumpseats for those clowns..:pimp:

Now come on Crash where's the love?? I know this is going to be a tough one. ALPA and all the lawyers seem very confident in this one for getting back the old contract and the cash, contract will be good in it's own right.

Personally I think they are brewing something up. Just cashed in another several million $$$ from the USAir stocks. I can see that just before 28th June an announcement for maybe the NW RFP or some other wizz bang idea and the "we need the current contract for this or we will have to turn it down if you don't drop the NMB meeting".

Possibly a convincing argument IF they didnt make so much off the sale of those stocks.... Alot more than several million (from the another forum)

"If you remember they sold 1 million shares a few months ago when the share price was around $35/share. This new sale would net $142 mil, so that's $177 mil they've reaped so far. Add in the $247 million their 5 million additional shares are worth and they created almost $430 million out of $125 million."

They are insane if they think that they are going to get any kind of handout from the pilot group. It was the pilots money they invested, maybe it should be the pilots who get a piece of that $177 million.

The danger is that IF they come to us with a new carrot it is going to be hard to stop the SJS from spreading through the ranks of the new FO's who see any proposal a way to get a 4th stripe and any cost.

It is simple, give us our old contract (pay and work conditions), give us back the money you stole from us (back pay), then we can talk about a new contract. Good luck on that one as the company still turn a $15M+ profit a quarter, stock sales etc, they are not hurting one bit so concessions my @$$!!

I have already had to bitchslap one FO the other week when he said "I don't want to see the old contract back here as it will mean no growth and I won't upgrade". Along with the current contract we were told it would mean growth, when infact we shrunk by 18 146's.

This new FO wants growth as bad as anybody else...but I also know full well ALPA winning the old contract back won't keep the Amigos from growing the company. Or selling the company. Or ___________. Anybody who thinks otherwise obviously hasn't been following the Comair debacle recently.

Was it a FNG? PM this fool's name if you would...

I second that....they (Los Amigos) are intelligent enough to make money even if/when we do get the old contract back. And as a new FO, I see no reason to take a pay cut to fly bigger planes and upgrade sooner. Upgrade is pretty nice here as is and FO pay isn't all that bad either.

Add to that the old contract would give FO's another $6+ per hour, better rigs (most 4 day trips now give you over 3 1/2 hours LESS pay than before). You will continue to see many more of the 5+ year guys / girls moving on for some time to come.

Glad someone has their head screwed on correctly and can see through the smoke. The company made money with the old contract, more with the new and will still make money when the old one comes back.

Wouldn't be prudent to do that but after my "conversation" with them I think they will see things in a different light - hopefully.

As a FNG, I'd stay in the right seat if it meant no growth, but i will not stay if there has to be more to give. There comes a time when it is no longer worth giving up everything. I was shown a copy of the old agreement, it was pretty dang good, even FO pay was pretty good. J. K. L. wants us to implement a B-scale? No, I wouldn't stay if we did. Besides, if we implemented a B-scale, what makes you think A Mesa or Chautauquah wouldn't? I am sure they would be forced to do the same.

come on now.....the majority of us want what you guys want.....the instance above seems to be an isolated incident

Well, we will know some answers in 2 weeks. Arbitration june 28th. Unless, of course, someone has a wart removed and they postpone the hearing another 3 months. You heard it here first.

Viva..................

Or another nose job........

........So we can't see them lying to us again!

Peace.
