So is this the rumor ? These guys merging ?

AWA does not exist. LCC is one company on one certificate.

Only the pilot and FA lists are separate. The rest of the company is fully integrated.

There is no West to spin off, though the wet dreams of the Easties is rather amusing.

Our financial covenants are based on one airline.

With the consolidation of the hubs, West aircraft will be seen more and more on former East routes and vice-versa.

Any airline can sell any part of itself at any time no matter what name you want to put on it. I'm not saying this rumor is true but it could be done.
