For anyone that has used Avsoft study and review software/books, what do you think? Did you think that it is worth it?

I'm going from a Beechjet to a widebody and on the surface it seems like this stuff will be a great help.

I've got one of their training software. It's modifiable, so you can put in your own questions. It works like a question bank divided into systems, with multiple choice questions. You review it in study mode where the answer is highlighted, and you can even add your own notes or change the questions and answers to customize it.

The note section is a wordpad type thing that doesn't allow for paragraphs. It seems to allow one sentence without filling the little box in which you type the notes. This makes it hard to use or read, unless I've just used it wrong (which is very possible).

I decided not to get all the expensive stuff, just try out the Pro Systems Review to see what it's like. It's okay. I think you have to keep in mind that a particular operator may have different numbers or procedures or systems for one reason or another; verifying everything there is crucial.

Their manual states that tech support calls are twenty five bucks. I haven't needed it, but the software was only about thirty five bucks, so the call probably wouldn't be worth it.

I don't know about the posters and books, as I didn't try them out.
