Anyone have experience with this type of business?

Money maker? Good part-time gig? What type of capital is needed to start up for equipment?

An idea whose time has come. Some of the planes I've rented have needed serious attention. But then again, many of those planes were older than me.

I think there are school and FBO owners who would prefer making their CFI's do that in their down time!!
