Just to see if anyone knew the average upgrade time at Avantair. Is this a good company, vs. Flex or Netjets? And what are there minimums for employment?
Thanks

Hmmm... I'm sure they are a fine company. However you flying one type of plane around with no chance of changing aircraft types, oh expect for the next version of the turbo prop that is coming soon. I think comparing them to Flex or NJA won't be a good comparison.

As for mins for employment, I'm sure a search would answer that question.

They will tell you in the interview that by the time you come back for your year recurrent you must be ready for an upgrade. Now, like i've said it before, I met a couple of guys that have been here for 8 to 10 months and were already upgrading. Sooooo, it could be pretty quick. This is a great company I think, I think net jets has better pay, and bennies. But the upgrade here is alot quicker, which means you should be making pretty good money here after a year. The benefits here could be better, and the company is working on making it better. I think this company is better than flex, why? well once again, upgrade is quicker, more job security, and a hell of alot better schedule. There are some nice rumors around here about bigger equipment, but we will hear something here around september or october. Mins for employment are well, just go to avantair.com and you'll find them.
