2500tt, 1000multi, and 500 high speed turbine(ie, not Caravan time)
Last I heard, they were hiring into all gateways except the FL ones.
Apply anyways, you never know what might happen. I know they are trying to hire 8+ a month

I heard that there were SIC minimums of 1500 tt 250 me 100 turbine time, is this at all true??? Starting pay is 30k, better then the regionals.

Corpflunkie is right on the required mins, and as to the pay, pretty decent when you factor in the $5K upgrade bonus, which should happen at your first year recurrent. Fleet growth is still predicting 1-yr upgrades, which bumps your first year pay by that 5K. Got mine on the next payday after the PIC checkride! Made a nice bonus!
Also, if you're willing and able to put in a little OT, the payback is great. Working 8/6 occasionally really pumps up your net.

what are the current gateways?

I turned down an oportunity last spring because i live in north carolina.

anything change?

pay isn't that great though

Um, actually when you factor in per diem and the fast upgrade, Avantair is one of the highest paid fractionals. Netjets guys can make 50k as an FO, and Avantair FOs make 40k. However, in the second year, an Avantair FO upgrades, gets the 5k bonus and makes about 65k that year, while the guys at Netjets are stuck at 50-60 as an FO for several years waiting on an upgrade.

Not bad for a turboprop. Its fine if you can get over the leg cramps of a small cockpit...

Yeah but once you do upgrade at Netjets your pay will be over 100 grand. If you upgrade at the beginning of your 4th year (after 3 years with the company) your base pay is 96 grand, that's only base, you're going to easily clear 110K if you count perdiem.

they called me a couple of weeks ago. I applied with around 2300TT 100something multi turbine and a bunch of single pilot freight time.

Although the HR lady never called me back after i returned her call?!?

Concerning Avantair........Do you know if the SIC'S get typed, or only the PIC'S???.....don't know to much about Piaggio's but I've always been interested in frac flaying.

I dont think there is a P180 Type...

The Piaggio is a 12,100 lb turbo prop aircraft. As such a type is not required.

The sched at Avantair is 7/7 firm with overtime starting outside that.

Hiring is outside FL at pretty much every class "B" airport. (I don't think ATL but could be wrong)

Piaggio is 380 TAS up to FL 410. Diff press is 9.0 so cabin stays pretty low.

Upgrade is 1 year mark. Maybe sooner, maybe not.

Planes come at 1.5 per month. (3 every 2 months)

Good company with lots of potential. I believe that as the planet goes greener that the Piaggio will look better and better. (2 speculations there that I believe)

Choose wisely grasshopper.

1900dr,

I know one person here who was hired wih 2300tt. He had a lot of time in King Airs and other twin turbo props.

Send your resume and see if you get a call.

Are days 1 and 7 usually travel days to and from home. I guess a better way to put it would be do you travel out from your home on day 1 and do you usually get back home on day 7.
