Whos been and stayed for a few days during the tournament? Is it impossible to get a good hotel? How many days before do you need to get a slot reservation.

THX

Yes it is impossible to get a good hotel within 75 miles of Augusta at last min and you need to get reservations as soon as they become available for your time of arrival.

If you do not have your rooms and such already then you are in deep smelly stuff. As for the slots, 72 hours in advance and get after it then and there! Good luck.

As stated above, good luck on the rooms. I had the unfortunate opportunity to stay two nights in a Howard Johnson that was beyond awful.
One suggestion I can offer is, if you are willing to drive for an hour, is to stay in Columbia, SC. At least there you will have decent hotels, food and cold beer. Not to mention pretty women.

Good luck.

went last year I agree with MASH4077 drive the extra miles and go to Columbia S.C. I stayed at the Marriott down town it was very nice, good luck getting slots I sat on my computer for a few hours trying to get a single slot. Make sure your passengers are fexable on the time they want to go. I am having trouble getting hotels in Miami for next week because of the golf championship and that is a smaller PGA tour stop. Good luck
