Has anyone heard from Pinnacle that interviewed on the 4th? I would really like to work there so I can quit this **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** cargo stuff!

I hope you have more experience than the person that was hired with only 400 total time. Are you serious? No kidding. That's some scary stuff!!

I am currently in class at 9E. I would say a majority of the people who get the job are told to expect a phone call in 1 to 10 days. Well after 14 days I started calling looking for my phone call and just as I thought they were just real busy and way behind calling people for class. So be patient and if a few weeks pass give them a call and keep calling til you speak to a voice not a voice mail. Oh yeah and it seems every class is 30 percent 400hr wonder boys (or girls). Good luck.

Oh isn't that delightful. *sigh* I thought they cut that sh*t out a few months ago.

You must not have given your money to the right people.

I am a former Gulfstreamer that got hired here and am proud of my background. It is a great place to work. One more thing I wanna give a shout out to all my Gulfstream homies out there. Get hired here as fast as you can.

So I take it someone wasted time instructing you. You might want to think about how you got through Gulfstream if it weren't for people "wasting time and money flight instructing". What a moron

Hey retard I didn't want to go that route but some people do. I have respect for the people who instructed me while I was at gulfstream.

*sniff-sniff*

...i smell smoke :D

I don't mind the gulfstream wonder boys too much they are all looking at 3 to 4 year upgrades just to meet insurance minimums. The few that were in my class didn't have a clue what was going on so the nature of the business will deal with them. When i was just starting to fly and longed to work at Pinnacle (stupid me) I respected the way they had hardcore 1500/300 minimums with no exceptions but man things have changed. PFT....uuggghh

3-4 year upgrades? Our MEC chairman in a recent newhire class quoted 5 years or better. The look on the faces of the "wonders" were priceless. I guess our HR dept were telling some of them within 2 years.

I have also heard there are a ton of the wonders in the system right now. For those on the line.. you can usually pick them out by those looking up for flights in PARS to FLL or TPA, or standing by the gates for FLL, or TPA flights.

The only thing that has me wondering. .. they are getting awful young lately.. I wonder if a good deal of them are even legal to drink!

A friend of mine went to Gulfstream and he said a 19 year old got hired at Pinnacle and he should be flying the line now.

News Flash,

(PFT issues asside)

There have been/are many airlines that have/are hired(ing) 300-500 hour "wonders".

ASA/Pinnacle/Colgan/COEX/Eagle/Great Lakes/Horizon/ACA(Indy Air) to name a few, and hundreds over seas that currently put 200-500 hour pilots in 737's, 320's, and 757's.

I know several Gulfstreamers that had more than 2000 hours TT before coming to 9E.

Flying at PNC is a good time. I'm an FO in DTW. As far as age goes, I fly with some Cpt's that look all of 13. I'm 39 and gray. Going through security people greet me as "Capt" and I say "No, he's the Capt" when I point to him with no hat on, no jacket, messed up tie, shrit that looks like it was sleeped in, thier looks are priceless. These guys didn't come from GTA either. So to generalize is useless.

Yup... he's in MSP - flew my first trip this month with him during interface. Nice guy, had about 1,000 hours after getting all his ratings by 18 then a year at Gulfstream. Didn't do too shabby of a job... better than some of the 400 hour guys I've flown with.

It really has nothing to do with age. I am real young and have had several people ask me if I am a streamer. I have instructed, towed banners, and flew freight for a little more than a year before coming to pinnacle. The only difference is that I made a hair over 30k instead of paying that much from daddy's account to get my spot

I think you kind of hinted at this...

Airlines hiring people with low time doesn't bother me, but people paying to work at an airline (Gulfstream) is what pisses me off the most about this business. I guess there were too many 400 hour rich kids to take a 2500 hour 25 year old with 135 experience....oh well...try again later

They did mention an 18 to 24 month upgrade during my interview session.

so im guessing by the tone in here this is not the case. i have a good friend who took a job over there mostly because of this. hes got almost 3,000 total and was/is told by everyone that (his) upgrade will be faster because of his total time. does that sound plausible, that the low timers will be years down the road, but the higher time guys will be much less, or should he be wearing smoke-proof underware?

If only I could be so lucky!

I wish my mommy and daddy had dropped 27 grand so I could have gone to Gulfstream Academy too. That paying your dues Sh*t is way overrated.
