How interested will airlines be in your ATP written results? Will a mid 80% hurt you? Is it true that if you go work for X airline, even the next airline will evaluate this score at the interview. Fact or Fiction?

I doubt it. I only made above a 90 on 1 test, it was the ATP, thanks to AllATPs. I doubt they care....I know they didn't at Mesa. Some might try to make a deal out of it, but just respond with something like "well, I passed didn't I?"

They care that you passed. Wether it was a 70 or 100, as long as you have it your ok.

Not getting above a 90% on any written test shows you are either lazy or not very bright. I would think that most airlines would not even ask for the score, but if they do, be ready for them to judge you on it.

Take the check ride, and tell them you don't remember what you got on the written.

B82...Ahhh...YEAH OK....you obviously have placed yourself on the mightier than thou pedestal....some people suck and written tests but have way more knowledge and skills then the booklearned guys....so becareful how oyu generalize...lest you find your self selling hamburgers

Back when FE written was required:

The ATP written score was never a big deal because you never had to show that as proof of having your ATP. You just showed your license. What mattered was your FE exam since you didn't have to have an FE rating to get an interview, just the FE written. So for the interview, you had to show them you FE results and thus they would see your score. It was always a big deal to score high on that for that reason but all the other test scores were irrelevant as long as you passed.

I got an 89 on my written, I guess I am not very bright.

I studied for 1 day, on a Saturday, and took the test the next day, no prep school, just the ASA book.

I guess I was to busy at the time studying Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer for my mechanical Engineering degree to get "The perfect Score". I also did my ATP a few days after my 23rd B-day.

I guess I am an underachieving retard.

I apologize, you are neither lazy nor stupid; Remembering what you scored on every one of your writtens obviously qualifies you as a geek.

BTW, Before you get all worked up again, I'm just kidding ;)

Heck, I don't even remember taking my checkride!! I must have passed the written because I received an ATP cert. in the mail.

.... i wouldn't of posted that if i were you :)

Sure.... private, inst, cfii & comm all look good... but 88 on the FOI? What's wrong with you man - are you lazy and not very bright? (*and with that i mean anything less than a 100 on the FOI is unacceptable ;))
