ATP rating from Airline Transport Professionals, Inc.

Im looking for a facility to get my ATP rating with. I already have my written out of the way. Im in the DFW area (specifically, Arlington). I've been talking to all of the local flight schools, and although they offer the rating, I've been told the best place is ATP (Airline Transport Professionals). They have a 2 day course for $995.

Has anybody gone thru this ATP course and if so, what do you think. Has anybody attended the course at the Arlington Muni location? Thanks for the help,

Yeah go see Kris at ATP in arlington he's a good instructor. And the DE is pretty cool and easy going.

I've read a lot of good things about All ATPs from a number of pilots on this board.

I used ATP in Trenton, NJ in June or July of 1999 and had a good exp. At the time I was flying as a Navajo 135 PIC which helped alot. You need to be current and basically ready for the checkride (oral and flying) before you go into the course besause its fast.

My instructor was good and the DE was "with" the program.

This is key as I've had friends use the same facility and other locations where the instructor was not good and they thought very diff. of the program.

It looks like someone here knows the instructor at your location and he/she has a good rep. so I'd say use them but go in prepared.

Did My ATP @ Riverside. That program rocks,

Day 1: Written Prep + exam

Day 2: Training flight x2

Day 3: Checkride

Pay a fee...get an ATP

Did mine at ATP Riverside as well a couple of years ago. Ditto what Nalo Boy wrote, except I already had the written out of the way.
