I just completed the Gleim ATP test prep ground school and took the test at the local CATs center.
It was pretty tedious at times since the ground school portion doesn't let you skip around or move on without completing every question. After the 10th floor loading problem this gets pretty annoying. However, it was a very thorough preparation for the test. It took me about 4 weeks to get through the whole thing, working an hour or two a day, 5 or 6 days a week including a bunch of sample tests at the end. I am sure smarter people could complete it much more quickly!
If anyone is considering the whole ATP thing, I'd highly recommend Gleim if you are self motivated and don't want to tak a day or two away from home for the written. Now I can schedule the flight portion and focus on that. If I could just figure out where to go...
