Anybody know of an examiner who can give an ATP checkride in a C-310 in Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, or Ohio? Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't need anyone to sign me off for the ATP checkride. I can just deem myself capable of passing, and go take the ride. Is it essentially the same ride as a 135.293 ride in the same airplane? Thanks.

This is also posted in the FAR forum.

Looking at the PTS a lot lately, it seems like a "commercial-instrument" ride. IOW a more restrictive instrument rating checkride. Your oral will mostly be on systems...maybe the examiner that does your 135 rides can do your ATP? Inspector at the local FSDO should be able to handle it, but I'll ask around for here in Ohio.

You are correct that you don't need an endorsement. If you bust you'll still need "re-training" and an endorsement at that time.

I'll ask around for DPEs here and get back to you with any findings. Good luck!

We have our 135 rides done in house with a check-airman. He isn't able to give the ATP at present. I keep hoping that there will be the off chance that our POI will have to sit in on a checkride that our check-airman gives me, and I can ask him to count it as my ATP ride as well.

why would you want a SE ATP?

you plan on flying a caravan for how long?

We've got a "customer" with an order for a D-Jet that wants to put it on a 135 ticket, so I'll need the ATP SE if I want to fly the thing (as PIC).

I can't wait for my first 4 hour leg with one pax in that thing....that's gonna be........fun.

*edit*
Nevermind...I just realized how stupid that sounded. I'll get it with the type if I'm going to be able to fly the thing...

disregard...nothin to see here
