i saw some back and forth, up and down, on another thread about training at atp. i am about to sign up for an atp program, and think that atp is the place that i am going to go.

have any of you received your atp thru atp, and if so, how was it.

additionally, i may take it at jax, pns, or fty. does it make a difference where i go?

are they still using that "study guide" that has all of the profiles for the seminole?

what kind of backlog do they have on their schedule?

thanks in advance for the information.

Though it has been a few years since I did it, I had generaly a pleasant experience. It was very streamlined.

I did it in FTY. I also did the ATP written there and the FEX flight engineer written.

I would reccomend it, but like I said, it has been a while.

ATP at PNS

I did my CFII and MEI at PNS, where they also do the ATP. They have great Seminoles, and if it breaks, they will have a replacement fom Jax in about 3-4 hours, so no major training time lost. I fly CAP with the instructor at PNS and things are slow right now, so there is not a backlog of students. The study guide has all of the info that you need to do the checkride...also the DPE is a great guy.
