sent my parents to daytona today on delta, of course everything is booked and of course getting to cvg outta rochester was supposed to be the way to go except that plane downsized to a 50 so no luck there..

To my suprise the gate agent (whom i will speak with later) was absolutely zero help ,according to my parents, even though she knew me and knew they were my parents..(cause rochester only has like 3 people to work the gates.)

anyhow they were able to get the last seats to atlanta an hour later...and after i got back from Minny this morning i start calling to see when they were gonna try to non-rev to either JAX,DAB, or MCO..except i can't get a hold of them for an hour and a half...great!!

finally word comes from the parental figures..they got into Daytona at like 1130 AM!!!!!!!!earlier than we had originally planned by going to CVG...

From what my parents tell me the gate agent in Atlanta was awesome..she hooked them up and my little sister up with the last seats on a 70... and if they didn't get on that one she had them all set on a flight to JAX at noon..

This was my parents first time non-reving even though its been over 2 years they've had the privileges...Just wanted to send a thank you to that gate agent in atlanta for helping the parents out...

PS now i'm pissed cause i know tomorrow i'll have a much harder time getting down there than they did!!!!

After jumpseating from ROC to ATL like a hundred times in the last year, I have to say that two of the girls that work the gate there are awesome and always went out of their way to help me. On the other hand, there were the other few that would always just tell me the flight was oversold so they didn't have to deal with me. Glad they got where they were going!

My last experience with Delta CS in ATL was great also. I was flying ID90 to STT with my wife and there was some kind of mix up with my vouchers, but the CS guy straightened it all out and even sat us in first class for the three hour flight. :)
