Let me add the hiring applies to pilots only. The FE's are in a reduction mode, with a bunch of Polar FE's, with unknown futures.

How long would it take to get the LAX base? How are the LAX schedules and QOL? Thanks.

currently the most junior base is stn and if you get hired, right now it looks like a bout 7-8 years to get out of stn.

no gateway, no travel bank, no hotel, no help.

Disregard this one. Only if you bid it that way, does it happen at all. Outbases and bidding end of month into first of month are the only ways you end up out that long. Some guys based in STN chose to do it that way, but it isn't forced on them.

your right, 34 days is not the norm, but you can reasonably expect to be out for 20-21 days due to commuting issues. oh and also you have to do training in london for recurrent on your own dime, and you'll get bumped off company aircraft for people who have gateway (you wont) but dont want to pay taxes on the ticket. and youll get to listen to how great peoples "past lives were" and so on and so on.
