Hi!

I asked a question about Atlas Training Pay in another thread.

I believe that current Atlas new-hires get their full guaranteed hourly rate at the 50 hours/month a 1st year pilot is given.

However, one responder referred me to the contract.

The contract says that new-hires get only $1200/month. It also goes on to say this:

K. New Hire Training Compensation
[FONT=HLBDJH+TimesNewRoman,Times New Roman]Until such time as a new hire Crewmember commences his initial operating experience (IOE) or participates in a line observation flight his monthly salary shall be twelve hundred dollars ($1200.00). However, the Company may in its discretion increase the monthly salary provided a new hire Crewmember in training. While in initial training, a new hire Crewmember shall be eligible for per diem as provided in Section 5 and Company paid hotel accommodations as may be necessary.

So, Atlas only HAS to pay $1200/month, but they MAY pay more.

This situation is important to several people.

If the new-hires are paid only $1200 month in training, they will not be going to Atlas.

Any info/help we can get with this is greatly appreciated.

Thanx a ton!

1200/mo. plus perdiem of 40 sum odd tax-free dollars plus hotel which when it was in Eagan had breakfast and sometimes evening chow is pretty good.

It's $1200.00 a month plus per diem ($55.20 a day) while in training. First year pay is $74.55hr and starts when you commence IOE or do an observation ride. Training last 2-2.5 months.

That training pay rate is about standard.

Make sure you ask for a fridge so you can do some food shopping and reduce eating out as much.

Hi!

The training pay is quite low, but with the good perdiem and hotel paid for, it is workable for me.

Some other guys are the only breadwinner, however, and it probably won't work for them.

From what I've seen the training pay at Atlas..with the pay, tax-free perdiem and hotel room is probably as good as it will get, better than Fed-Ex, NWA, and just about everyone else. Fedex use to be about $1200/mo and that's all you get. Of course the upside is alot higher with FedEx
