Reading the financials, Atlas has a hole in their boat. Looks like a rescue is in progress. I had great hopes for them. Seems like the previous CEO must have taken everything. Who knows! Miami is closing. Auctioned all the extra parts. No earnings report. Lost records. Does not look good. Looks like they are trying to get as much money as they can before capsizing. The sad part is that only the employees will be hurt. Upper management walks with money to burn. Nothing new in the corporate world.
Anyway, Good Luck to employees. I wish you the best.

Well, according to one of the CPT's at Atlas, the CEO that filled in when the ower died, did suddenly retire...or a asked to leave.....They have lost a lot of$$ due to his little projects that have all fallen through....there is much $$ missing and unaccounted for.....and.....they are under investigation by the SEC. So.....draw your own conclusions. The pilots are flying quite a bit and the stock is starting to come up a tiny bit from it's rock bottom low of 50 cents...I don't think it is in danger of imploding, the $##@# my hit the fan but I think a new board will get it going in the right direction again...one can only hope so at least....That is all.

Who was the CEO who died, the CEO who filled in (and was asked to leave?) and, most importantly, who's running Atlas now?

Were any of the Jeffery Erickson (former CEO of TWA who took the dive after flight 800)?

Chowdry was owner who was lost in aircraft crash. Shuyler was CFO then became CEO(mistake). Shuyler left after(supposedly) sucking CGO dry. Linda Chowdry(nice lady) became Chairman of the board. John Blue is Acting CEO. Erickson is President. Erickson also worked with Shuyler at TWA. They both worked with airlines that were sold. HMMMM! Does not look good!
I hope it works out. Front seat of the rollercoaster. Hold on!

Bled dry airlines

I was asking about Erickson b/c he was brought into TWA after Ichan bled it dry. I guess that's his specialty, to turn around airlines after they've lost all their assets to corporate greed. He didn't get the chance at TWA b/c he had to take the fall for flight 800's aftermath (and he was accused of moving too slow, wanting comittees for every decision). Hope his new specialty isn't corporate break-ups. Can anyone say "Bluestar"? :)
