PARIS (Dow Jones)--Airbus (F.ABI) could announce this year new American customers for its super jumbo A380 jet, La Tribune reports, citing unnamed sources.

Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Inc. (CGO), a cargo airline, is expected to order five of the jets, La Tribune reports, and Gecas, the leasing arm of General Electric Co. (GE), is interested in buying 10 jets.

Supposedly, Fedex has orders for the giant also. Not sure if the orders are confirmed, but my source tells me the purple cargo meca is seriously looking into the 380's.

I guess we will find out in the near future.
