From the Atlas CEO;

The Board has instructed the Company to take the steps necessary to effectuate an integration of the Atlas and Polar Crewmember workforces. To that end, we held a conference call Friday with the union leadership of both airlines and we are looking forward to working with them to get this job done in a positive atmosphere. This, of course, will be done pursuant to the merger terms and conditions of the two Collective Bargaining Agreements. Those terms provide, among other things, for all parties - - that is, management and the respective MECs of both Atlas and Polar - - to work together to negotiate a single Collective Bargaining Agreement.

In addition, as a precursor to such a negotiation, the MECs will work together to present management with a negotiated seniority list that will ultimately be governed by the single Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Let the games begin! How this will affect all the "poolies" out there is an open question. Comments?
