If you're told to "Proceed dir to Foothill, re-join the arrival", are you supposed to comply with speed and altitude restrictions depicted on arrival in ATL? Or just speeds? Or just hold the last assigned alt and speed and fly the arrival?

The wording in ATL on these arrivals is getting more and more confusing and nobody seems to have a clear answer.

D-ATIS has been stating that "descend via" is no longer used, but speed restrictions still apply.

Speeds, yes...altitudes, no.

I haven't listened to the recorded ATIS, so not sure what it is saying. Do you have D-ATIS capabilities on your aircraft?

ATL only has a D-ATIS. We do not have a recorded (old fahsioned) ATIS. I emailed the original question to a supervisor at A80; Waiting for his reply. When I get it, I will post it for y'all.
