Since quite a few regional pilots attended ATAcademy in Orlando, this post fits in here. I'm sure a mod will move it soon enough to the "Flight Training" board.

Just heard from a little birdie that Scott Williams, one of the dipXXXX twins and former "President" of Airline Training Academy in Orlando is now a Gate Agent for AirTran in RSW. He did a real good job of emptying the trash in the 737.

Talk about irony. I wonder if AirTran knows that he and his family stole millions from students???? Obviously, he was never convicted. Shame.

Air Tan in AtL? Somewhere else?
I would love to see that fat pig and let him know what I think of him and his theiving family.

Yup, working for "Citrus" in Ft. Myers, FL as a Gate Agent. I wonder how it feels to go from a million dollar home with a new Mercedes to a one-bedroom apartment and a Ford Festiva???

I am sure that he will rip someone else off and get away with it. Hmm. I wonder what happened to the other guy that was the ATA pilot?

Wow, I'm glad I found this thread. This should be posted on the Majors as well, because this criminal family stole millions from innocent people who were trying to attain the dream of flying. I'm certain there is a place for each of them in hell, but for now, a gate agent will suffice for Scott.
What happened to Rob. Last I heard, he was flying for ATA.

That is the last thing I heard also. I hope they all rot in hell.

Why has this guy not been sued, and/or prosecuted if he really "stole" from all of you that he conned?

He was sued. There was a huge class action against him and his family. I think that it is still in the process last I heard.

With that said, maybe he is only working for Citrus to make it "look" like he has nothing left after the school shut down.

Could be.. I know that they were taking money up to the day they closed the doors and some of those kids put in over 100k.
That family should be taken out and shot.

Six students had money transferred over from Key Bank on Monday, and they shut down on Thursday. The monies were an average of $80000 each. I was there working during my vacation week at ASA updating manuals. The whole family was gone almost every day, trying to secure financing. I left at 4:30pm on Thursday, and Jeff told DD at 5pm to shut down. After 2 years of struggle, I received my last paycheck through the BK court, plus all sick and vacation pay. All employees who filed with the BK court received their pay. Everyone else lost out bad, including the 6 who transferred their money 3 days prior, even though they never started.

Done.

I've asked a few ATA pilots about Rob, and can't get a clear answer.

Again, just another reason to laugh in his face when I see that fat bastid

There's got to be a bankruptcy case or an SEC action that you can look up to see what punishment these guys faced.

The first company I flew for had two minority partners who were running a $150 million pyramid scheme. The scheme wasn't related to aviation, but they stole the life savings of many of our employees and used the proceeds to run the FBO and a couple of jets. The SEC seized everything and the same employees whose savings were stolen lots their jobs as well.

One guy served seven years, the other served ten. For stealing $150-plus million. You'll get more than that passing a teller a note that says "Put the money in the bag" and dashing off with $3K or so.

Who says crime doesn't pay?
