Does ATA require 1000 turbin PIC?

That's a negative on the 1000 turbine PIC.

ATA's mins are:

2500 total hrs
500 multi-engine
ATP certificate
First Class Medical
College degree preferred

How has ATA been contacting people for interviews? Do they send out an application first and they call if they like you or have they just called people for interviews? Thanks.

You'll receive an application in the mail if your resume appears to be competitive,or if your resume was sent in along with a LOR from an ATA employee. Once you fill it out and send it back to IND,it's reviewed by a handful of people who score it. If you score high enough and if they want to interview you, then you get the phone call. Good Luck.
