Hi out there:

I scheduled my ATA interview last week for June 17th. Anyone else interviewing during that week?

I didn't recieve any infromation about what hotel to stay at, what to bring, etc. I've been to a couple of airline interviews before, so I know what to bring, but I was told to expect information from ATA as to what they want, where to stay, etc.

Anyone else interviewing that week receive any info about it? I guess I'll call back in the beginning of June if I haven't heard anything more about it.

Thanks!

ATA will send you some information. They will confirm you in the LaQuinta the night before you interview in IND. La Quinta will pick you up at the airport. You pay about $40. If you arent sure exactly what to bring, call one of the nice ladies in the Chief Pilot's office and they will take care of you. If you go to LAF to sim prep and stay a night there, you can get an ATA rate in the Raddison in LAF $40. If you need a rental, I rented a Budget Ford Ranger for a total of $53 for two days. Our interview day was exactly 12 hours from start to finish.

You'll get a call soon!

Hello,

The nice lady from the Chief Pilots office will call you soon to fill you in on the specifics. Give her your e-mail address so that she can send your travel itinerary online (ATA provides positive space travel to and from IND).

I interviewd on the 22nd and can only say that after meeting everyone at the ATA IND base I really HOPE they call! It's seems like a great to fly (my four buddies who fly there love it).

The interview is very laid back and not like your usual airline grilling. It's actually a great experience.

Be patient, have fun, and be yourself in the interview!

Fly safe,

Uh Oh...

Anybody know how to update a current application? I have had mine in for about 7 months now.

Thanks in advance

Hello!

I have heard that you can have a friend at ATA call or stop by the IND HR dept. and they can find out about the status of your app.

Hope this helps!

Take Care,

Uh Oh...

I had to send the app twice. I sent it in, waited a year (they do not accept updates) and heard nothing.

I then sent them another resume, and received another app. I sent that app back (which I printed MUCH neater), with a LOR, and heard back for an interview about 1 month later.

Propjob27, Uh Oh..., and anybody else,

When you guys sent in your resumes, how much Jet PIC did you have? I know the ATA website doesn't say they require any but I'm wondering what's competitive.
I've sent in another resume but I don't know if I have a chance to even get an app. I've only got a little Jet PIC and right now I'm a FO on a Heavy Bus. I hope to upgrade soon but there hasn't been an upgrade class since I got hired last year. Anyway...thanks in advance.

I had about 150 jet PIC in an RJ when I got called for the interview. PS, who do you fly a heavy airbus for that you'd leave for ATA?
