Does anyone know what the average daily rate is for the Astra. Let's say it's out of the southwest and for a SIC.

I charge $500/day for long, multi-day trips; $600 for shorter durations as SIC. I also charge by calendar day, not 24-hour period, i.e, if the flight leaves at 10pm on Wed and returns at noon on Thurs, that's 2 days. In addition to the daily rate, all expenses are covered.

Our dept rarely uses contract pilots but we pay $600/day + expenses. We're based in SoCal.

Before I became a full time astra pilot, I was working as a contract SIC. I had no formal training at the time and was getting 375 a day plus expenses.

The local guys who are fsi current get 550 a day.

We have some down time and as I am typing this reply, I am sitting in my hotel room in Teterboro on an Astra contract trip. I charge $600 per calandar day (including travel and layover days) plus all expenses.
