Just read the latest company memo and it looks like a few new hire classes soon. An increase of 15-30% block hours after Oct. 05. Projecting 20 or more pilots to be hired soon. My guess is Feb-April. Min requirements.2,500 total, 500 AMEL PIC(preferred 121), ATP(preferred type in something), current 1st class, FEX written last 24 months, 2 years college preferred,RTOP, Passport. Adding 4 727's next year and rumors say a few DC-8's also.
New stations are ABE*,BNA,ELP,FAT,LAS*,MDT,MDW,MEM,MHT,MKE,MSY,PIE*,PVD,RIV,RSW,SAT*
SBN*,TUS,CYVR -Asterick means a through station
Closing ATL,BDL,DTW,IAD,IAH,MHR,ONT,ROC,SAN,YYC.

Riverside, CA will see flying by the 727,DC8, and A300. what this means I don't know. DHL is supposed to open some sort of west coast sort so this may be it. Good luck if you want to work here.

Why such low minima? I would think only needing 20 pilots they could do better than that. Do they hire furloughees?

Riverside, as in KRAL? Is that official? The runway at RAL is 5400 feet long, with weigh restrictions.

Or is it March ARB?

I think March.

I received a note from a fellow ASTAR pilot telling me I maybe shouldn't have posted this info in light of the current ABX situation. In no way should my post be constreud as flaunting or in your face. I simply have many friends on these boards who are out of work and this was a way to help them out. Not to mention another 6000 pilots on furlough whom I do not know but cruise these boards looking for work. For the ABX guys I am not happy that there may be furloughs. I want to see the entire operation grow. This whole mess has not been handeled properly but we don't call the shots and never will.

Supposedly DHL is planning a large sorting center on March ARB property (as soon as the old officers' quarters are totally levelled from being used as practice for Iraq-bound soldiers).

low minimums and you got +3000

Wow, isnt that funny when minimums comes low after you have more yourself!

Minimums are minimums and then there is the time to be competitive!

I hope I get on!

They are minimums but someone without at least twice those numbers wouldn't be competitive.

They're probably set like that so HR can make special exceptions.
