Someone mentioned that Astar was parking some of their 727s in CVG for "a while"? I heard this on the ramp last night. Say it ain't so!! I was hoping they'd be hiring this year or next. Does this mean furlough or just scaled back plans?

Parked two today. Supposedly parking another two sometime. The bloom is off the rose over on our side. We just got a bonus check forour stellar performance this year, and then the company allowed a staffing trainwreck to happen. If that's even what's going on. Bottom line here is we're in contract negotiations and the company's playing games. Who knows what's going on really.

At this point....I really could care less.

I heard it was a sickout of 727 F/Os and that DHL was going to give the six trips to ABX permanently.

Some planes were planned to be parked for some time due to high lease rates/ leases expiring.

I don't understand the context?

(OT: I finally got to meet Steamguage the other morning at one of our shared cities. Had to rush out to fly our next leg, though, but I least we got to talk for 10 minutes, or so)
