Yes i know I might get bashed for this but: Does everyone else think that it's yet again a slap in the face of our miss-management that they can "afford" to give away tv's, Ipod's and paid days off, but not a contract? Are we supposed to forget how bad things are getting and how low morale is? And before you say it, yes I am seeking a job from many other companies...Anyway what a waste! Airlines wasting money what a concept! Give me a contract that'll motivate me more than a free Ipod, with our current contract and only 10 days off and low pay, we won't have the money to download songs or electricity to charge it!!!

Yes it is a complete waste of time.... but that is the point.... The regional model is built on you leaving.... Both ALPA and management have built it that way.....

It is cheaper to have a low longevity group than a senior group..... many other "career regionals" have fallen by the wayside while the new "kids" come in...

ALPA seems to agree with management as both the ASA and EGL MECs are supporting the movement of senior pilots..... Why is ALPA supporting this?....

The FAs helped theirselves and wiped out the supply. CPs just stood by and watched it happen.

HAHA yea I was sitting next to CP RC around 10 am before they brought in all the food. He was pissed that the FA's took all the food before and was going to do something about it this time. We sat there and watched 100 FA's come in and grab food.

Its all good though...we went over and stole some of thier Chik-fil-a.

Yep, RC was highly po'd! He stop a few of them who were carrying 2-4 boxes out, said they were for the entire crew. Someone (won't mention a name) went on a recon mission and stole 2-3 boxes of the FA's donuts. And, let's just say we were encouraged to hit their Chik-fil-as too! Good time.

Hoser

Like most of our FAs need anything more to eat. As it is now, when some of them get on the plane I feel like Fred Flintstone's car just had another rack of Brontosaurus Ribs thrown on it and we're going to tip over.

Dude, that's harsh...how do they manage to squeeze up and down the aisle?

There's lots of stuff that works...
Lotion
Vaseline
Motor Oil
Crisco
KY

Basically, whatever it takes along with calling the CA every time we takeoff to ask if they need to serve. This alleviates the need for any lubricant to negotiate the aisle.

249 miles? Oh good, I ain't got 'no serve the 8 peoples on hour air-A-crafe

Don't you love the "249 mile rule"..... Did anyone at the GO even consider the difference between 249 miles on the RJ and 249 miles in the ATR.... Summer time with an over block crew, and 249 miles is way over an hour on the ATR....

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!! If I was drinking a beer I would have spat it out reading that!

Dude! That is some funny a$$ $hit right there.
Funniest post I've read in a long time.

I heard BS talking and he said that they have 17k to spend and was told to spend every penny. There is a brand new pop corn machine on its way also. hmmm
I think that 17k could've been spent other ways. The big screen does look nice in the lounge though.

So no contract, but there is now a 40'' LCD HDTV in the CPO Lounge.

I noticed it yesterday as well. Looks pretty nice, but that thing is worthless unless they get the HD signal from the satellite service. HD TVs are worse looking when run on an analog signal than the old tube style TVs.

But honestly, I'm excited about the opportunity to watch Little House on the Prairie in widescreen as opposed to.....let's say.....college or pro football. Yes, I'm still embarrassed by some of my coworkers and their choice of TV programming.

I hope that thing is welded to the wall also...or one morning we're going to find it missing.
