I know this is old news but what was the verdict with reserves not getting compensated for deadheads to a TDY assignment? It seems like Section 8.A.1 is pretty clear about compensating a pilot for deadheads so what is the difference with a TDY? I can't find any amendments anywhere addressing this.

Additionally, why does the company not pay you per-diem for the entire length of your TDY and only TAFB for flown trips?

It's very clear you should be paid 24hr PD once you show for a TDY.

Is that what you are asking?

Have the reps call them on it if you are not.

can we start an ASA "room" for all of these ASA threads that the rest of us could care less about?

If you don't want to read it.....DON'T CLICK ON IT!!!!!

Back to the original questions here...... I was TDY'd up there back in December. As far as the dead head is concerned, they have to pay you. I went round and round with scheduling about this. I also talked to SH about it and he said we get paid for it. It's the way they put the DH in your schedule. They put it in Sked+ as a red blocked item, which does not generate a pairing of any type, therefore no credit. When I talked to scheduling about it, they told me payroll would credit it. Guess what, they didn't. They use CrewTrac (which we do not have access to anymore) which mirrors Sked+. So payroll never sees the credit for the DH. You probably want to check the new payroll system they just put up and see if anything shows up there. If it doesn't, call crew audit and make them pay you for it.

Second, the per diem does not show up on Sked+. This is one of those things that is typical ASA..... you have to keep track of it and it should be on you paycheck. I didn't have any problems with not getting paid the per diem, but I've overheard others that had to submit queries on it.

Good Luck!!
