ASA Recognizes Top ATL Bag Drivers for March 2007
05/01/2007
ASA’s top baggage dispatch drivers at ATL for March 2007 received awards for their outstanding performance. Dan Curtin, director – APO ATL, said “Drivers receive a performance score based on their average number of runs per day plus the fewest number of deals or misconnected bags on their runs. The overall best award goes to the driver with the highest performance score out of all drivers – morning and afternoon shifts.”

Alton Bailey, supervisor, presented the awards and he was proud to announce that the overall best award went to DeAndre McNeal, with a performance score of 14.71.

Bailey also announced all ten top shift drivers for each shift.

.

That's out of a possible 100 right?

Wow...if this isn't an 'arrogant' post by a ‘mighty’ pilot than I don’t know what would be. We can clearly see the ‘intent’ even of the original post.

You say who cares. Well, you, as a pilot, should care the most. Just because they are Ramp Agents, doesn’t mean they are below you. Without them, your plane won’t even leave the gate, unless, you in your uniform, would have to go out and load up all the bags (happened during a strike somewhere I recall).

As a pilot, if you stop ‘looking down’ on someone who is not a pilot, you’d get the grip on an important concept: it’s a team thing!

A good performance by all (ramp agents, gate agents, dispatchers, flight attendants, pilots, etc.) should be recognized and rewarded.

A good pilot would care!
