Ok, honest question......

What, precisely, would it take to recall one LEC member? Specifially, the LEC 112 (ATL) Secretary/Treasurer...

I don't necessarily have a problem with someone questioning ALPA, but I do have a problem with an elected ALPA official questioning the MEC and the negotiating committee in a public forum. How this guy ever got elected is beyond me, but I think it's time to put a stop to his grandstanding.

If you want to work with ALPA... great! If not, fine, but it's inappropriate to say the least to be an elected official openly working against our union. Additionally, I understand that he has been beyond remiss when it comes to fulfilling his duties as an elected officer.

What would it take to remove this person from his office. I, for one, do not want this person representing me in any capacity.

Excellent!!! It's about time that someone stood up and decided to remove that joker. How he got elected in the first place still baffles me, considering that most ASA pilots I've talked to don't really support the RJDC nonsense.

I'll send you a PM with all of the appropriate info for the recall, including the relevant sections from the C & BLs. Happy to help with this effort.

Please do. I'm all ears.

JB has got to go.
Info has been sent by PM.

Hear that, John? They're coming after you. A glorious day indeed.

Are you sure?

Exactly what has he said that wasn't true? He is not the only individual close to the MEC that has questioned their motives. I personally cant comment because I am so far removed from the process, but sometimes having someone question the actions of the MEC could be a good thing; checks and balances. It has happened at many regionals in the past few years. Is he correct, maybe so, maybe not. That is for you to decide. But a recall to shut him up is not the answer.

The reason a recall should be taken is because he --by his own admission-- doesn't attend LEC meetings and ---by his own admission-- doesn't perform his elected job as Sec./Treasurer. THAT'S why he should be recalled.

You're right that questioning isn't bad, but not doing a job for which you are elected is bad and is reason to step down or get recalled.
