Still the same

March/April time frame. We have to get deliveries of the 70's and deminish our extra FO's on the 50's before we can hire. Are you sure you are still in the pool! It went from over a hundred to less that 30 due to currency and competitive issues. You will know if you were called and they told you that you were still in the pool. Good luck! ;)

yeah , i am in the pool. I am JS-32 pilot and have been in touch with them in ATL. I am current and just updated all of my stuff. Thanks for the heads up

Those of us in the pool are so hoping for the March new hire class, or Feb, or even January would be okay. There was a rumor it could be February, so you never know.

Are there new deliveries occurring in Jan and Feb? If so, is there upgrade/transition training already scheduled and/or occurring? How about the number of excess FO's at both ATL and DFW? All of these happenings could possibly trigger an earlier new hire class, so as a poolie, this info could be very interesting to me.

Anyone, chime in!!

By the way, I am still in the pool, confirmed.

We have not seen any aircraft yet. The Jan lines for the 70 seat in DFW do not reflect any deliveries. My guess is the first one should be on line late Jan to early Feb. We are to receive one per month for two to three months then two per month untill Aug/Sept and then back to one per month for the remaining deliveries (total of 15). As of yet, all positions have been DFW slots with only two to three ATR positions in ATL.

There are about 40 70 seat Cpt's and FO's in diff's training as we speak. A Cpt's 40/50 seat class is in its 3rd week and another one starts 5 Jan with an additional class starting the end of Jan (approx 10 in each class). It takes approx 2 months to get a guy through the upgrade in the left seat so this is where the bottleneck will be.

I can't see an earlier class unless there is a lack of 70 seat bids. If this occures, the company may decide to get new hires to fill the 70 seat FO slots but that is doughtfull. They will more than likely force individuals in DFW to fill the 70 seat FO positions or move some of the deliveries to ATL. But, F.B. recently stated that most of the new growth will be in DFW. The DFW crews will fly through ATL and fly east coast stuff, then end in DFW. He stated there was simply no more room in ATL and DFW would have to be used as the staging point. What this means is more 40/50 seat lines and postions in DFW on top of the 70 seat positions.

Clear as mud? Well don't feel bad as we are just as unsure of what will happen as you are. ;)
