Thank god,

I hope this will get the ball rolling a bit faster in ATL improvement. Sounds like he does a good job in CVG.

Delta Connection Carrier Atlantic Southeast Airlines Names Greg Kennedy as Vice President -- Atlanta Airport
Thursday October 9, 10:03 am ET
New position recognizes growth, importance of Atlanta hub operation

ATLANTA, Oct. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Delta Connection carrier Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA) has named Gregory W. "Greg" Kennedy as vice president of its Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport hub. Kennedy will have full responsibility for ASA's hometown operation, including employee relations for more than 900 Atlanta-based ground employees, customer service, operational performance, and ongoing facility and technology improvements.

In making the announcement, ASA President W.E. "Skip" Barnette said, "The creation of a vice president position focused exclusively on Atlanta recognizes the increasing growth and importance of ASA's Atlanta operation within the Delta (NYSE: DAL - News) system. Each day more than 20,000 Delta Connection customers transit through Atlanta to connect to 342 Delta Connection flights -- making ASA's Atlanta operation the third largest in Delta's global network. Greg Kennedy's 18 years of operational experience at three Delta hubs makes him uniquely qualified to improve our Atlanta performance and to ensure a seamless regional jet experience for customers as they connect throughout the Delta system."

Kennedy began his aviation career in 1985 as a part-time ramp agent for Western Airlines in Salt Lake City. He joined Delta in 1987 as part of the Delta-Western merger. Since 1987, Kennedy has served in positions of increasing responsibility, including duty manager in Salt Lake City, manager of the Atlanta and Salt Lake City Airport Coordination Centers, operations manager for Delta's A and T Concourses in Atlanta, and currently as field director of Airport Customer Service at Delta's second-largest hub in Cincinnati. Kennedy holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Utah.

At ASA, Kennedy will report to Bryan LaBrecque, senior vice president -- Ground Operations.

ASA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, operates more than 800 flights each day to 100 airports in 27 states, the District of Columbia, the Bahamas, Canada and Mexico. Founded in 1979, ASA has operated as a Delta Connection carrier since 1984. The airline operates a fleet of 127 aircraft and employs more than 5,500 aviation professionals across its route system, including more than 2,500 Georgia-based employees.
