Implementation of CASS at ASA

Issue Date: 06/15/06
ALERT BULLETIN

Applicability All ASA Flight Crews

Purpose

To announce that ASA is now a participant in the Cockpit Access Security System (CASS) jump seat program.

Synopsis

Effective immediately, ASA will allow OAL pilots employed by a CASS-participating airline with a reciprocal jumpseat agreement to occupy the flight deck jump seat.

While ASA has received approval for CASS effective today, it may be some days or even weeks before all CASS participating airlines update their own systems to allow ASA pilots access to their jumpseats.
