HELLO ALL!

I just wanted to ask a few ASA related questions for the DFW base.

1. If hired, what are the chances of a DFW base assignment?

2. What is the expected time that I will be on reserve?

3. What are the reserve call out response times?

4. Any other related info is appreciated!

Thanks

1. Pretty good, new growth at DFW as Skywest shifts more to SLC. Several lines added past few months.

2. About 1 year as of right now, could change with more growth.

3. 2 Hours

4. Good Luck! I need some people under me!

more asa info requested!

1. first year pay?

2. training pay?

3. amount of days off while on reserve?

1. First year unfortunately, is a rediculous $19.02/hr. We have been in contract negotiations since 9/02. It will be interesting how much, if much at all that changes. Typically, negotiators dont care how much a first year new hire makes, since they are long past that. I would expect it to jump to about 22/hr, if and when we ever get a new contract.

2. Pay in training is good for a regional. 19.02/hr for your minimum, which is 75 hours. If you get DFW based, you get 24 hour per day per diem! Which is where all your money is made. ATL based people dont get the per diem, which is crazy, since the company is expecting you to be hired and move to your base before the first day of class. It is a bummer for the ATL based guys.

3. You get 10 days off while on reserve. I have been here 16 mos, in DFW, and I'm on reserve. I could have held a relief line this month, but chose not to. I have flown less than 20 hours total in the past 3 months! I have been called for only 1 two day trip in each of the past 3 months.
