Wrost...

You have the "wrost" spelling here, but we have not yet terminated your contract.

Hot off the Press. ASA with the worst performance and yet their contract with Delta has not been terminated. So who are the worst performers. Oh, I guess that would be Comair, ASA

http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/080407/airline_quality.html

ASA's contract is only up for consideration at the three and five year points and is corrected for weather and ATC. Have you been following the southeast weather for the last few weeks? DAL's ATL performance has been about the same.

ASA had the "Worst" performance due partly to where the airline operates! Atlanta is the busiest airport in the nation, and the world. If you think the US is bad, look at the problems Heathrow has.

I think the reason that Freedom lost their Delta flying was that the quality of service just simply was not there. The management is destroying their parent company, and any reputation they may have had. There will be no new flying awarded to MESA, and it will probably not last much longer. Thousands more mistreated employees will be thrown out of jobs.

ASA on the other hand, has improved dramatically in recent months, in large part a result of management changes, and new initiatives to improve. Much of this is working, the employees are generally happy, and everyone is "pulling in the same direction"

If ASA was not so much exposed to what can happen in ATL when a small glitch messes everything up, it would be at the top of the list!

Good luck to all, it has been a rough week or so.

I think this report was for 2007. Are you surprised? ASA nearly stood still for two whole months with absolutely zero motivation before that to be on time. Hell, I never even used to look at my paring to care if we were on time or not. I think it'll be a different story for 2008.

Let's see, Delta handles our bags, handles the gates, books our flights. I think we need a asterisks in our numbers!

This report was on CNN too but the numbers are from 2007. At ASA we were in contract negotiations so there was a slow down from the pilots...that is what it took. Also ASA operates out of the busiest airport. Just check out the numbers we are throwing up now for 2008 that arent because of Weather delays. I put my money that we arent at the bottom again for 2008. We still have a lot of approvement to do but we arent the worst. Why the media is putting out this article with 2007 numbers beats me but the airlines have been in the news lately and i guess they felt the need to smear us some more.

Good Lord son where did you go to school? I don't normally police spelling but come on!

Sorry "Improvement" is what i meant. Thanks spelling cop. Oh and aren't instead of arent. Just trying to compete with the person that posted this. ;)

Since the TA our numbers have improved greatly. We have been inline with Delta's numbers for a while esp. this year. Considering that 80+% of our flights are concentrated out of Atlanta, our performance is very good. With much of the emphasis on D-0 , A-14 etc things will only get better. Besides, almost all of our aircraft are equipped with Acars and there is no playing with the numbers. They are what they are. What other DCI carriers, besides Skywest, have ACARS in 95% of their fleet. I would imagine that the ACARS have nots stretch the numbers to satisfy Delta.

Mesa causes complaints for other airlines. Case in point. We arrived into JFK on time...well the FreeDumb plane at the gate we were going to, didn't have an FO, it took them one and a half hours to get an FO and push back, we arrive 1.5 hours late...thank you Mesa.

We waited for a gate in ATL for an hour, but they had tornado warnings and the such, plus a 3 hour ground stop...this situation is understandable.
