Is ASA hiring a lot right now? Im currently with another dci carrier but Im trying to get closer to home for an easier commute. I would be giving up about 6 months at my current carrier. What are the reserve times? Whats Trip production like? Right now we are doing 15 hour 4 days uncommutable getting 12 days off a month. Just wondering if life might be a little better with an easy commute able to get me to ATL by 9:30am every morning and the last flight home at 9:30pm. Any thoughts? Thanks guys

RES is a non event if your one of the top ten in your class otherwise its about a month. Lines are all at max (about 93-96hrs month). You could probably just show up for the interview and get it with prior experience. Second yr pay is one of the best out there.

Just to give you an idea of what is going on- there is a rough figure floating around that for the month of August there are 50 reserve slots open, yet only five reserves to cover them. The attrition (which would be good for you) is extreme at the moment. And it seems to be getting worse as United, NW, and possibly USAirways add to the hiring spree. I don't think you will match the current schedule you have now until the summer slows, but after that I think you will be able to hold a more commutable line. Besides, even if you did get off at 9-10am on the last day, at this rate you would get extended something anyways.

Riddle Eagle?

First thing to do if you want to come to ASA is forget you ever went to Riddle. It is the source of much ridicule and ire around here.... You just don't want to be associated with those tools-make up a cover story about flying drugs in Columbia!

Much like doing a fat chick-maybe it feels good at the time, just don't let anyone else find out about it!
