Well,
It seems that the new ASA T/A has language that should be of interest to SKYW pilots, mostly the junior ones, I wonder what the actual language holds, any one with the actual language?
Here is the header, from the ALPA e-letter:
Scope protection: The tentative agreement secures enhanced job protection that includes no-furlough and fragmentation provisions as well as a formula for integration in case of a merger with a non-ALPA airline.

I truly hope you guys get DOH or better, because this is the only thing that will get the new toolboxes attention.
Enjoy it guys(ASA) you deserve it!!!

It says a "formula for integration". That could mean getting stapled to the bottom of another senority list.

The industry standard for such an integration is "relative seniority". This means you stay at your % position on the seniority list, even though you may have more or less people above you. This is most likely how it would happen.

Hey,
It's possible, I would like to see the language though.
It could also say that the non-union senority list will be stapled to their bottom. I think it will be something in the middle, ie. DOH or some formula, thats why I am looking for someone to post the actual language.

There is no "industry standard" , the ALPA merger policy and the Allegheny-Mohawk Labor Protective Provisions, are the contractual legal standards. But I do not see in the AMLP anywhere there are provisions for the pilots employeed by the non-union purchasing airline, only language defining the collectively bargained bought pilot group. It almost seems that the non-union pilots do not have any expectations or protections under either the ALPA merger provisions or the Allegheny-Mohawk Labor Protective Provisions.

Hopefully ALPA used their superior negotiating ability (compared to SAPA which has none) to get a superior position at the table.

What's the difference..... as long as Skywest feeds for united they need ASA so they can fly delta flights out of United hubs and united flights out of delta hubs. Both Delta and united set limits on much you can do for the other. In other words Skywest can't have a large amount of Delta flying out of United hubs. They need ASA seperate.

This is a common misconception...... you can have a single list and still have separate certificates.....

Republic/Shuttle America/CHQ, Mesa/Freedom/Air Midwest, and Eagle/Executive are just 3 examples.....

Yeah I'm sure the SKW guys are screwed after ALPA did such a great job of intigrating the lists at AW, US. We could only pray for such a great deal.

Well,
Another fukkin expert...on nothing. The ALPA merger policy states no "windfall profits for either group" The USAir guys wanted to cornhole the AW guys, and put their furloughee ahead of the working AW line pilots. I bet you would love to go from senior f/o, to reserve f/o because USAir guys wanted their furloughees/guys ahead of you. I honestly hope the ASA guys get DOH and no fences, honestly you are the last guy SKYW needs in the command seat of anything on the property, you are questionable for even for a baggage tug, much less a CRJ 900. Now go back to your x-box, in the basement of your USAir dad's, girlfirend's house.

Holy sh*t I will be laughing all week.

Vote and merge. 4500 SkyWest Inc. pilots on one list.

Only problem is being melted in with PFTers, but the benifits outweigh my hangups. I donno, if ALPA forgives SCABS at CAL, maybe I can forgive PFTers.

You're an idiot.

Are you aware that ASA hasn't PFT'd in almost 10 years?

No need to confuse his reality with facts. Many forget that SKYW had a period of time where there was no pay, or hotel room. Many ignore that fact, because they were the ones who went to training, sat in a SKYW classroom, got a hire date and worked for free. PFT, no difference! Past history with no relative importance to todays history.
