So I had a Delta flight scheduled for today and somehow that actually meant ASA, not Delta. My flight just got cancelled and now I have to leave 4 hours later. I don’t understand why these idiot pilots can’t get a flight where it’s supposed to get on time. Is it really that hard???? Ok, I’m just kidding….

But seriously, I fly a Grumman Tiger and if I can make it across the country faster in one of those than I can via commercial airline service… well that’s pretty sad. But I suppose when you pay $250.00 for a ticket to go across the country, you get what you pay for. I'm taking the AG5B next time!

You could put any airline's name in place of Delta and it could very well be on a subsidiary or contract carrier. You can also check online at each carrier's website to see which aircraft is scheduled to do that particular flight.

Cancelled Flight

So where are you going (from-to) that you can get across country faster in a grumman tiger than a CRJ?

Maybe the flight had mechanical problems, and rather than delay you for 6 hours, they cancelled the flight and put you on an 'earlier' one.

Trust me, the airlines do not like to cancell flights any time!
It costs them too much money.

Also, many other airlines 'farm' out their business. For example, you could fly Airtran from ATL-LAS on an Airbus, when in reality Ryan Air is operating the flight. They also subcontract with Miami Air.
