Just read on the ALPA board that ASA's Skip Barnett got a $700K bonus! This will go over well with ASA's negoiating team! And DAL wants more from the Delta pilots while they continue to line their pockets before the whole place goes out of business. Oh, wonder if Ron Allen still receiving his golden parachutes?
 
Thats his reward for dragging our negotiations out this long. Come to think of it, I think it has something to do with ALPA's failed scope policy.:rolleyes:

Either you guys are ALPA junkies or you don't work at ASA, or both.

Skip has done a great job turning ASA around. 700K well spent.

If we are going good enough for the skippy bonus, I guess negotiations will move exactly in OUR direction and right now!! CMR + 10%, 4 and 12 hr reserve in inverse seniority order, etc. You know, all the usual stuff!
 
Good for him. I can't imagine anyone on this board would complain if they recieved it!!!

ASA is owned by Delta and Delta is a sinking ship at the moment. Not a good signal to send to employees who are being asked to accept salary cuts.... Is DAL management out of touch with reality?

Save the bonuses for the return to eventual profitability (year 2010)... Another example of corporate greed while subordinates are made to suffer....

I think the fellow that has organized the ramp is a Comair guy. Our management can't take much if any credit for the improvements.

This is true. Until Comair arrived in ATL all the ramp problems were blamed on the crews. After all the Comair write ups Skippy and his crew couldn't keep pointing the finger at the flight crews for every conceivable problem at ASA.

This place has become a bad joke.

Anybody had their Operational Awareness training day yet ??

Skip is not the only ASA exec without a college degree. That idiot VP Lisa Walker does not have one either.

I think Skip should gift a non taxable $12,000 divided equally among all of his employees that earned him that bonus.

How many employees does ASA have? Probably less than that.

I'll hold my breath. Maybe they'll send me another payroll deduction.
 
Well, Skip confirmed today that he got NOTHING as far as as bonus goes. He basically swore/promised he didnt get a dime.
