Correct me if I'm wrong but in my four years in this company I have never seen such a lack of effort into building this things. just my two cents I'm really frustrated. Sorry brothers and sisters I guess we'll have to suck it up

It is awful.. there are 63 First officers and only 39 lines.. just pathetic.. I am on my 3rd year of reserve.. had the jet bid in since last summer.

Here is a sample two day (notice the nice 7 legs 7hours and 42 min sched block)

Ouch,

I spent three years on reserve too - no wonder you are pi$$ed. Nothing beats walking around the G.O. with a sign while on reserve.

Fins.. the worst part is that newbies are getting lines right off IOE on the Jet while i have to endure yet another month of freaking reserve... Its the man holding the prop trash down..

It's not just the 7 leg day, it that the trip duties in at 9am the first day and dities out at 930pm the second day. It keeps you there for the ENTIRE 2 days for a cp@p trip. That's why I bailed. When I look at those it makes me feel a little less like a traitor.

This has occured with every plane that is being phased out. Nothing new here. There are fewer ATRs now, so the schedules will be bad, and probally get worse. Happened recently w/ the Brasilia. Sorry.

I still have hella-bad nightmares from the Brakillya days.

I don't know, where I am that pairing looks pretty good. 10 hours of pay for a 2 day... We have 4 day trips worth < 9 hours. When I'm at work, I'd rather WORK and then have more time off.

Do you guys have a seat freeze in the ATR?

Section... 24 of our contract.. One of the many things that needs to be fixed..

(Section 24 is the filling of vacancies) They can bypass an FO anytime for any reason.. basically throwing Senority out the window.

Well.. Bid the 700. If you've been on reserve for 3 years, and have a bid for the 200, the company can bypass you. But if you bid the 700, and can hold it, than they need to pay you for that. Right? And even if they give it to you, at least you are used to being on reserve.

Actually they dont have to pay you ... There was a mediation that stated a ONE FOR ONE deal. (example): Which means if 10 ATR FO's bid 700 and they are all bypassed by one newhire, only the most sr of the 10 ATR Fo's gets the pay protection. The other nine are screwed.. Then if another Newhire bypasses the remaining 9 ATR fo's.. Only the next Senior ATR fo will get pay protected.. the remaining 8 are screwed... etc.

This came about from a greivence from the brazillia days and the mediator ruled that this is the LAW.. ONE FOR ONE...

One more reason to get out there on MARCH 15th and 17th!

These schedules don't have anything to do with the ATR being phased out. This started before they announced that the 7 were going back. Part of it is that they took away all of the long legs. There was a time, that many don't remember, when we only had 12 ATR's. We had lots of 3 day trips, and lines with 17 and 18 days off. The real problem that most of the ATR pilots have with the trips isn't that there is a lot of hours packed into 2 day trips, or even that they span the entire 2 days. The problem they have is that most of the lines have 11 or 12 days off. I don't mind working my a$$ off when I'm there, if I have 15 or 16 days off a month. But working yourself to sickness for 10 or 11 days off is just stupid.

Nothing like 18 hours in CSG. There's the abandoned movie theatre next door that you can loiter in the parking lot with the local kids sniffin' glue. And don't forget the disco club next to that where you can see some large skakin' posterior. Yum.

I must akst de question: When da proptrash gonsta rise up againkst da man?
