On the bus last night, 3 hrs late, and members of the ALPA neg. team are there and it seemed like they were home a day early because the company wouldn't negotiate and kept stalling just like they do every time. They said they explained everything to the mediator and even had a meeting with one of the 3 NMB board members. No e-mail from them, but we are back to the famous 3 options that the NMB can give us.

Where are the emails from the union, are they hiding behind alpa.org?? They do not mind emailing us all the other times??? Way to keep us informed !!

I've received three emails concerning negotiation updates in the past three days. Perhaps ASA ALPA does not have your email address? Do you not have the phone number of the strike center? Do you even want it so you can call to get yourself updated, or would you rather just come on here and bitch about being uniformed? Do something for yourself man!

I don't know if you're trying to be cute or not, but we've had a site for many many years. Try crewroom.alpa.org for update information and much more. But, you have to register.

It's kind of an inside joke...about the "spoon feed me" crowd at ASA.

You couldn't walk anywhere inside the C Concourse without bumping into a Union leader or a P2P person today.

If you had a question, they were there for you.

Yessir, but no one could answer the one if you call in sick in the middle of a trip is it an occurrence or not?????

Funny I just got done reading the Company update on ourasa, they failed to include the pay charts, only graphs that the numbers are so close together that it looks as if all DCI carriers are close to the same rate. They failed to put the rate charts on there to show in the out years how far behind the other carriers we would be if we were to accept their BS. Also look closely how they use profit sharing to inflate the rates to make it appear as if their proposal is in line with everyone else. Sorry folks but every ALPA contract I have ever seen has COLA's every year on every piece of equipment, in addition to your longevity increases. Why did they exclude Express Jet? They are a DCI carrier, ohh wait they make 10% more than we do. That would really screw up their attempted sales job.

What’s up with the two options? One has some scope but no money and the other money but worthless scope? Its like go ahead take the pay raise that puts you up their close to your peers and we will threaten or actually take your job from you. And the other option that says if you take a pay freeze we will give you some scope. Who needs scope if you are at the bottom of the barrel in pay! What a joke.

Do they think we are dumb?

This is what a real pay scale looks like
Express Jet
CA
12/1/2007
EMB-145 50 seats
1 $ 61.68
2 $ 63.52
3 $ 65.45
4 $ 67.39
5 $ 69.43
6 $ 71.51
7 $ 72.93
8 $ 75.12
9 $ 77.37
10$ 79.69
11 $ 82.08
12 $ 84.54
13 $ 87.08
14 $ 89.69
15 $ 91.49
16 $ 93.32
17 $ 95.18

And they get profit sharing on top of the scale. Man what would it be like to work for a company that rewards it's employees?
