looks very good to me. The only thing I miss about Willy is having to wait until the last minute to see the bid packets and the line awards. At least Willy got them to us ASAP even early most of the time.

Good job on the lines this month!!! Im sure some people will bitch because someone always does but I think you did a great job. There are more 3 day trips and weekend off schedules then I ever remember seeing!

I'd rather wait a few extra hours for better lines.

Good job? You have to be jerkin' me! These are the worst I've seen in 4 years of flying this thing! Mixing 3 days w/ a day line, or a 2 day, or even a 4 day is contrary to what pilots want. Survey results state we want pure lines, 2 days, 3 days, whatever. This so-called (self-proclaimed?) process engineer (former ATR F/O) comes up with this shet! Terrible! BL must want ALL the pilots pissed-off and unhappy I guess. I'm about 15 on the plane, and these suck man. Last month they were great, now this. Go figure.

Hey did anyone notice on the June lines that we're not doing anymore flying out or MCO? What gives? Did Delta take that flying away from us?

Thanks Hoser. I was afraid we'd go a whole month with out a complaint about the lines at ASA. I love to hear the whine of jet pilots.

Hoser,

I don't know what kind of lines you bid, but it seems that the majority want 3 day trips. Given that you are 15 on the 200 I would assume that you should be able to pick one of the 78 3 on 4 off lines (including I think about 35 that have weekends off). Unless you are really choosy.

Just because the 1st page of lines looks messy don't assume that they don't suit some guys. I for one would love to have a mixed line with a 10 or 11 day off block in it, but since I bid in the 200's on the aircraft I at least now have a chance of doing a couple of 3 days along with one or two 4 days. I will take that over what I have been getting.

Take a look on myasa at the schedule for June. There are virtually no cities that have the same flights each day. That means that it is very difficult to build pure lines that are in any way efficient.

Do I think that the lines are perfect - No, but I do think that they are heading in the right direction given the changes that Delta is making to the schedule on a daily basis. Just be grateful we don't have 5 day trips to contend with!

I've been b!itching about the lines for the last 3 or 4 months. I think that the June lines are the best in the last 6 months. Lots of 3 days. Seem to be a lot of commutable pairings with a lot of days off. Block seems a little low, but you can't have everything i guess. Hopefully this is a sign of improved line construction.

The lines for June are great! I have to give Kevin credit on this because he did a good job. I hope for more block time too, but I'll sacrifice that for 3 on/4 off.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought Kevin did a good Job. After my post and then reading Hosers reply I thought I was looking at the wrong bid packet. But like I said, someone will always be unhappy. Nice lines!

Not unhappy at all. I just don't like mixed lines. But, looking through all the lines I can see why everyone above is pleased as overall the lines are better for everyone, and that's something we've strived for over the years. So, the vast majority are happy, then I can be happy too!

It does appear that the lines may be a little better for those in the top half of the list on the 200, but as far as "commutability", they keep moving my Damn Goalposts! Now DAL has decided to put friggin ChickenTaco on my last flight out of ATL, and for some reason that darn airplane never seems to be able to carry more than 47 passengers, at least on my route!

By the way, anyone know the difference between an ER4 and an ERJ on Travelnet? I hope the ER4 can at least carry a few more people. What a useless effin' airplane!

When I first moved over from the ATR there was 200+ 3 on 4 off lines, pure 3 day trips. This packet sucks. Maybe it's because of the way DAL is doing the scheduling, but these suck. Kevin asked me for feedback, and I'm afraid to call him right now...

Atrdriver,

You must have moved onto the 50 during the short period that happened. At that time Delta ran the same flights every day, hence the same pairings could be generated.

Take a look at all of the changes in the schedule now. I'm not saying I like it (I could hold a pure 3/4 schedule on the lines as they were built in the early part of last summer) but I think that it is a reality that we have to face.

Guys are complaining about the lines not being pure. I for one would rather have one or two 4 days on my line with a couple of 3 days rather than nothing but 4 days. I think that overall the lines are slowly improving month by month as crew planning gets used to the changes.

These lines are GREAT, especially with a vacation!!

Yea, until they build back your line and put trips at the front and back of
your vacation! They love that!!!

I think that would negate the Legal part of my name - don't you?

I am one of the very small percentage of legal immigrants. If all of these changes go through I guess I will get a refund for all the money spent getting here. Seems fair when I could just have flown to Mexico and gone for a swim!!!!

They have flights from England to Mexico?!!?

Wow the lines get better in the summer. Imagine that.

Hoser... You are now happy because everyone else is happy... what's that all about.

And are your 50 seat CRJ's always able to carry 50 pax? I've heard those are weight restricted quite often. I've never been on a weight restricted 135/145 and commute on them every week from MCO-CMH with full loads.

I get worried a bit when I try to non-rev on the ERJ and CRJ with poor weather. All it takes is alternate fuel to ruin your day. When no alternate is needed, I have never had a problem on either model.

I agree with that. MCO always has a lot of kids to help out with the weight. Even with an alternate they can usually fill them.

nothing like a little "peek a boo" from your secret hiding spot in the lav to negate any weight and balance restrictions. that, or not having correct change. that always kills the commute.

I know...weird huh. And I wasn't even drinking Chianti!

Evidently, from what I read anyway, the lines have become better for those further down the seniority list, which I support. I just didn't care for the mixing of pairings on the 3 day lines.
