Does anyone know if the A.F. is accepting interservice transfers from the N.G.??

I would be a rated in the UH-60. Also does anyone know how the A.F. 60 mission is and what duty assignments are available?

Call Mr Clay Shelley at the AF Personnel Center at Randolph. He is the MFWIC for Interservice Transfers (IST). DSN 665-3708. I don't know the commercial number, but the Randolph Operator's # is 210 652-1110.

However, I know in the fixed wing world, the USAF is not taking Army pilots; only Navy/Marine/Coast Guard.
Also, I belive that if you have no active duty time, you are probably not eligible. There are a few other issues involving rank, but talk to Mr Shelley.

Give this link a try:

From what I was told when I looked into this last year, the Air Force is pretty fat on pilots. Most folks said No to interservice transfers. Mr. Clay Shelly told me that it can be made to go thru, if it looks feasable (money-wise) for the AF to train you to their standards.

The long-short seems to be: Interservice transfers are few and far between, and almost nonexistent, but there is a possibility to get one (maybe).

Hope that helps,

Matt
