Hey just wondering what the deal with Ariben Aviatior is? why is their multi time so cheap? (how many people are loggin this time?)...

any info on them would be appreciated. Thanks.

My understanding of their operation is that 2 pilots fly the 100 hrs. for the advertised price which is about $9,000 each. In other words, you each get 50 hrs. of stick time under the hood (logging PIC as sole manipulator) and 50 hrs. as the safety pilot (logged as acting PIC).

I don't think the regionals care if your ME time consists of the 50/50=100.

Yea thats what im wondering...im actually looking at converting my Canadian licenses from Commercial multi instrument into the FAA equivilent @ Ariben because they quoted me a cheap price and its all on twins. I have already been trained so i am now just jumping through hoops to get my FAA licenses and maybe some more multi time under the belt at the same time.

So the time when logged like this 50% safety pilot and 50% stick time is legit? i have heard lots of people on this board talk about it so i guess it always works and nobody cares if the time is logged like this?

Thanks in advance!

I had a friend who did it and had a good time. The flying is mostly done at night and it is a 50/50 deal.

So what is the point of logging saftey pilot time if its not counted as actual multi engine time? Or do you just subtract it for certain places? If they dont count it or only count 50% of it then do you not meet the 100 hours multi requirements anymore if your just over 100?

Sorry for all the questions just want to be sure of what im doing before i sink several grand of my money i spent my summer working for into converting my licenses and then find out the time only counts as half and i made my log book look like a lie.
