Just a general question about the FAA commerical written: does the test bank for this test include questions that require you to interpret/read instrument charts and approach plates (like those used for the instrument written)? I have a study guide and it didn't include any of these questions, but I've taken a few practice tests online and have encountered instrument chart related questions. Not sure if the guide is wrong, or the site I'm using is mixed up. Just want to be prepared for my test! Thanks!

no, the answer is yes... in the ASA prep guide there is a chapter for instrument questions... while you do not need an instrument rating for a commercial license, there may be questions on the written on approach plates.. there are only a handful of questions, and they are pretty basic, but they are there.

i think there is actually, mea moca and i think there was a hold entry question

Ok, thanks for the heads up, mayday and KA. I've passed the instrument test already, so reading the charts shouldn't be a problem. Good to know that they're fair game, though.
