I would love to get some info about life, etc. If you would be willing to PM your phone number, I would really appriciate it. Thank you

Look up Tsky he is an old friend of mine. He is a captain in the f27 and Atr I believe. I have heard great things about the company. If you are thinking about going there then go for it.

Does anyone know what the schedule is like for the pilots based in CWA for Empire? From what I have been able to find out the aircraft flies down on Friday night and does not return to CWA until Tuesday morning. Does the crew stay with the aircraft in MEM all weekend? If so do they work every weekend? Just trying to get a feel for what life is like at Empire. Are most runs home for the weekend? Thanks for any info.

cwa has 3 pilots so you get reserve every third week. you fly down to memphis sit all nite and go back 4 nights a week and are done fri am. i think most fedex feeder runs are all home on the weekend. there are a few exceptions and i know some fly on fri pm sat am but i dont know of any that stay over the weekend

flagshipper is right about the runs not staying over the weekend in CWA. I can't think of any that do stay the weekend on the 121 side. Most ATR and F-27 runs are 4 or 5 days a week. The caravans are a little different. Some of those are mon-sat. Quality of life doesn't get much better than what I have it right now. It has been pretty poor in the past though, when we were thin on pilots. It all depends on the base. If you want to fly a lot quality of life typically goes down.

Hey dillfer, don't forget about the S.E. Alaska run. The crew has to stay the weekend on that trip but then they usually give you the next week off.

Oh yeah. I did forget about that one.

Sorry, I'm a little slow on the uptake, let me know if I have this straight.

CWA airplane flies CWA-MEM-CWA Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday night? Layover CWA from Friday morning until Monday night?

To quote the great Ed McMahon " Yes, you are correct sir!"
